Bulk FTP Upload

I'm afraid I need a little clarification on the process for bulk uploading images...

From within the Admin control panel, the popup window states:

Option #2
Upload images via FTP
Bulk upload images via FTP to "tempimages" folder,
click the button below to batch process all images
Be sure to delete all images from the "tempimages"
folder after you have processed the them.

So I FTP uploaded images to the /data/tempimages folder
Then created a new Album from within the Gallery and
Then clicked the 'Upload Images' button and
Then clicked the 'Process' button from within the popup window,
but I get the following message:

Number of updated picures: 0
Processing time: 0 sec

The Folder permissions are set to 777 for the Gallery and the /data/tempimages folder and the new Album folder.

Any ideas as to what might be happening here?

Yes, you need to upload your images to the "tempimages" folder of the gallery that you created, not the "tempimages" in the "data" folder.

You should never upload any images, or run the gallery from the "data" folder.
This folder is meant to be the folder that is copied when creating new albums, and is not intended to be an actual "album".

OK... that makes sense... and worked great!

Now if I had only remembered to use .jpg files instead of .gif when I was conducting my test!

Hello I have a question I uploaded the images using FTP but when you go to home the bank says there is 0 (zero) images and I cannot assign a picture for default.

Hello,
after uploading images to the "tempimages" folder, you need to then process those images by loging in to the admin panel for that album, click on "Upload Images" and choose "Option 2" which will batch process all images in the "tempimages" folder.
